Our Volunteers
Our store is completely staffed by committed volunteers who have a passion for promoting fair trade. We love for new faces to join our team! If you enjoy assisting customers and sharing about the craft items and where they originate from, we have open shifts for Sales Associates. These volunteers work 4-hour shifts and commit to 2 shifts per month. Training is provided. Basically, you will be in charge of opening or closing the store, assisting customers, telling our story, ringing up purchases, handling cash and credit card transactions, and taking special orders, when requested. It's always a fun day and you'll get 20% discount on all purchases on the day you volunteer.
Other areas where you can join and support Trade Fair:
- SHOP...SHOP...SHOP and tell friends, neighbors and church groups about our store.
- Maintain store displays (moving, rearranging, organizing)
- Receive and unpack orders and check the goods to the invoices
- Promote and spread our story through social media (Facebook, Instagram, Constant Contact, website updates)
- Help set up and take down during special events (markets, bazaars ,women conferences, street fairs, etc.)
- Check on merchandise at local antique malls (Top Key in Huntsville)
- Prepare and send out monthly schedules to volunteers
- Speakers who are able to explain the unique mission of our non-profit store and the concept of Fair Trade.
